Electrical Engineer

LightIC Technologies is seeking to hire a talented and motivated electrical engineer to join our hardware team and own the electronic hardware design of the system. 

What you will do:

  • Develop digital data processing algorithms, logic, and architecture for Xilinx FPGA using Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL
  • Develop highspeed data transmission, control logic for Zynq Arm using C/C++
  • Develop Lidar point cloud processing/display software with Python/C++ in Windows/Linux
  • Familiar with ADI/TI/LTC, bring up electrical components (ADC/DAC/TIA) on custom PCB and evaluation board
  • Develop ADC/DAC/TIA configuration logic, data interface, data pipeline architecture in FPGA using Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL
  • Develop polygon/galvo scanner control logic in FPGA/STM32
  • Read schematics and debug circuit problems with oscilloscopes/multimeter; modify custom PCB or electronics as needed
  • Use 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks/FreeCAD to design 3D models for fast prototyping.
  • Conduct system level Lidar integration, simulation, debug, calibration, and test
  • Gather Lidar raw data as well as point cloud data, perform data visualization and data analysis in Python/MATLAB
  • Perform technical writing for reports/documentation/presentations with company team and customers

 What you need to have:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engineering
  • Must also have advanced knowledge (gained from academic coursework, research project, teaching assistantship, or practical training through internship or co-op) of: Advanced Digital System Design and Synthesis; Digital Signal Processing; Digital Communication Systems; Machine Learning for Electrical Engineers
