Radar Digital Signal Processing
LightIC Technologies is seeking to hire a talented and motivated Radar DSP engineer to join our hardware team and own the design, development and implementation of Radar DSP algorithm in our sensor hardware for range detection system (Lidar, Radar). The person will work closely
with our FPGA and PCB engineers. Join us if you are:
- Interested in working in a rapid-growing early-stage startup
- Enthusiastic about working on disruptive silicon photonics and LiDAR technologies
What you will do:
- Design and simulation of end-to-end systems to meet required performance specification
such as range and signal-to-noise ratio - Design and validate signal processing algorithm for applications of detection, tracking,
RF calibration, parameter estimation. - Analysis of algorithmic computational complexity and memory/processor/IO
requirements. - Work with hardware engineer to specify hardware (e.g. FPGA) implementation specs.
What you need to have:
- B. S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years DSP experiences
- Experience in simulating (with Matlab or other languages such as C, C++, Python) an
end-to-end system to meet required performance specifications, e.g., link budget,
Signal-to-Noise/Clutter Ratio, Signal Sensitivity, RF nonlinearity calibration - Experience in designing, choosing, and optimizing DSP algorithms for radar or other
relevant sensors - Familiarity with HDL (Verilog/VHDL) logic implementation and FPGA prototyping
Nice-to-haves:
- PhD or master’s degree in electrical engineering, mathematics, signal processing or a
related field - Experience in FMCW Radar/LiDAR signal processing
- Experience in developing and implementing DSP algorithm on FPGAs
What We Offer:
- Be part of an early startup that is backed by industry-leading venture capitalists
- Considerable equities of an early startup with a great potential
- Very competitive compensation and exceptional benefits
- Paid lunch, dinner, office snacks, team off-sites, and more
